Zazi Clothing – Exchange Policy

At Zazi Clothing, we want you to love your purchases! If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help you find a suitable exchange. Please read our exchange policy carefully.

Our Policy: Exchanges Only

  • We offer exchanges only within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  • We do not offer refunds.
  • Store credit may be offered in specific circumstances at Zazi Clothing’s discretion (e.g., if a desired exchange item is unavailable).

1. Eligibility for Exchange

To be eligible for an exchange, your item(s) must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and unused: Items must be in their original, resalable condition.
  • In original packaging: With all original tags, labels, and packaging intact and attached.
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase: This can be your order confirmation email or invoice.
  • Returned within 30 days from the original date of purchase.

We reserve the right to refuse an exchange if the item(s) do not meet these conditions or if our policy is abused.

2. Non-Exchangeable Items

For hygiene and other reasons, the following items are generally not eligible for exchange (unless they are found to be defective – see section 6):

  • Sale or clearance items (unless otherwise stated).
  • Items marked as “Final Sale.”
  • Underwear, swimwear, and bodysuits (due to hygiene reasons).
  • Earrings (due to hygiene reasons).
  • Gift cards.
  • Custom-made or personalized items.

Please check product descriptions carefully for any specific exchange restrictions.

3. How to Initiate an Exchange

  1. Contact Us: Please email us at admin@zaziclothing.com within 30 days of your purchase.
    • In your email, please include:
      • Your full name.
      • Your order number.
      • The item(s) you wish to exchange.
      • The reason for the exchange.
      • The new item (including size/color) you would like in exchange.
  2. Await Confirmation: We will review your request and, if eligible, provide you with return instructions and the address to send your item(s) to. Please do not send items back without first contacting us and receiving confirmation.

4. Shipping for Exchanges

  • Cost of Returning Item(s) to Zazi Clothing: You, the customer, will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item(s) back to us for an exchange. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.
  • Cost of Shipping Exchanged Item(s) to You:
    • Zazi Clothing will cover the shipping cost for the first exchanged item to be sent to you. For any subsequent exchanges related to the same original order, the customer will be responsible for the shipping costs.

5. Processing Your Exchange

  • Once we receive your returned item(s) and inspect them to ensure they meet our eligibility criteria, we will process your exchange.
  • Please allow 7-14 business days from the date we receive your returned item(s) for us to process the exchange and dispatch your new item(s).
  • If the requested exchange item is unavailable, we will contact you to discuss alternative options, which may include choosing a different item of similar value or receiving store credit.

6. Defective or Incorrect Items

We take great care in ensuring the quality of our products. However, if you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, please contact us immediately at admin@zaziclothing.com within 7 days of receiving your order.

  • Please provide your order number and clear photos of the defect or incorrect item.
  • For genuinely defective items, Zazi Clothing is committed to resolving the issue in line with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA). This will typically involve offering a replacement of the same item (if available) or a suitable alternative. While our general policy is exchanges only, we will ensure your rights under the CPA for defective goods are upheld.
  • We will cover the reasonable cost of return shipping for defective or incorrect items, and the cost of shipping the replacement item to you.

7. Store Credit

  • In situations where a suitable exchange item is not available, or at Zazi Clothing’s discretion, we may offer store credit.
  • Store credit will be issued for the original purchase price of the returned item(s) and will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
  • Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

8. Amendments

Zazi Clothing reserves the right to amend this Exchange Policy at any time without prior notice. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your exchange.
